On
Wednesday, June 15, 2016, The Prince George's County Drug Policy Coalition, Inc.
awarded
$26, 000 to area high school seniors and college students at
the lovely Harborside Hotel in Oxon Hill Maryland. Students from Oxon Hill
High School, Friendly High School, Bishop McNamara and St. Stephens and St
Agnes High School were among the successful recipients.
Radio
and Television personality, Ebony McMorris, served as Mistress of Ceremonies.
Dr. Valencia Campbell , Coalition President, welcomed attendees to the event.
"We are so excited to honor these outstanding students who are
actively involved in their communities.”
Councilman
Obie Patterson assisted in the scholarship awards presentation. Ronald Blakeley, Former
Associate Director of the White House Initiative on Historically Black Colleges
and Universities gave Words of Encouragement.
