HOWARD UNIVERSITY – BLACKBURN CENTER
APRIL 17-20, 2013



THEME:   TAKING ACTION TO PREVENT ALCOHOL & DRUG ABUSE AND VIOLENT CRIME, TREATING RELATED MENTAL ILLNESS, AND FACILITATING FAIR AND EQUITABLE HEALTHCARE, CRIMINAL AND JUVENILE JUSTICE REFORM IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.


        The National African American Drug Policy Coalition, Inc. will be holding its 2013 Spring Summit Conference at the Blackburn Center on Howard University's Main Campus, April 17-20, 2013.  This  year's Summit Conference will be historic due to the fact that we will be extending invitations to 5 Universities including our host, Howard University, as well as Bowie State University, the University of the District of Columbia, Coppin State University and Morgan State University. 

        As the Summit Conference Program below indicates, we will be dealing with some of the most controversial issues facing the Obama Administration over the next four (4) years. It is a conference that you will absolutely not want to miss. The Summit Conference program, as well as the Registration form, are provided below. 

        Additionally, we are extending an invitation to all of you to join the National Coalition as an individual member. To facilitate this, an Individual Membership form has been provided below.

2013-2014 Empowering Future Leaders Scholarship Application

          The Prince George’s County Drug Policy Coalition, Inc. is pleased to announce the “Empowering Future Leaders Scholarship” for the 2013- 2014 academic year.
     
       The Prince George’s County Drug Policy Coalition, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that promotes policies and laws that embrace the public health nature of drug abuse.  Through our scholarship program, we provide community-based support to families within the county with a focus on students obtaining higher education and living a healthy and drug free life.

       The application forms are due Wednesday, May 15, 2013. All qualifying applicants will receive a notice of an award.

     The Prince George’s County Drug Policy Coalition, Inc. represents one of many local affiliates of the National African American Drug Policy Coalition, Inc. Our national organization consists of a coalition of 25 preeminent organizations. Through the support of our national organization, interested organizational partners, and grassroots members like you, we hope to prevent and reduce illegal drug abuse and related crimes in Prince George’s County.
